Work On Jamison Corner Road Relocation Project To Begin March 19

Construction on the Jamison Corner Road relocation project will begin on Monday, March 19. According to a March 9 news release from the Delaware Department Of Transportation (DelDOT), the project from Mumford & Miller Concrete, Inc. will realign Jamison Corner Road with the Boyds Corner Road and Cedar Lane Road intersection and will include 12-foot travel lanes, 8-foot shoulders, 5-foot bike paths and a 10-foot shared use path. Work will take place from 7am to 4pm Mondays through Fridays, weather permitting, and message boards will be in place to warn motorists of new traffic patterns or road closures. This is a part of DelDOT’s Master Plan for improvements in the area to improve anticipated congestion and safety issues. The project, costing just over $4.7 million is expected to be finished by Spring 2019, weather permitting.
