Dover Man Arrested for Assault- Dover

Dover– Delaware State Police arrested 42-year-old David T. Harmon of Dover for assault following an incident on Wednesday evening.

On March 3, 2021, at approximately 6:57 p.m., troopers responded to a reported assault on New Jersey Drive, Dover. The investigation determined a 44-year-old male was found lying on the road at the end of his driveway with visible injuries to his face. Troopers discovered the victim was riding in a vehicle with David T. Harmon after leaving a wedding.  Harmon got upset and began punching the victim an unknown number of times before dragging him from the car. The victim was left on the ground in front of his residence, and Harmon fled the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance with serious physical injuries.

On March 4, 2021, troopers responded to the State Bureau of Identification located at 655 Bay Road, Dover, and took Harmon into custody without incident.  He was transported to Troop 3, where he was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court and charged with Assault 2nd Degree (Felony). He was issued a $10,000.00 unsecured bond and released.
