Troopers Arrest Wilmington Man for Burglary of Liquor Store- New Castle

New Castle, DE- Delaware State Police arrested Dorian H. Frisby-Jones, 53, of Wilmington, DE, on burglary and related charges on Friday. 

On Sunday, August 22, 2o21, at 3:12 a.m., a male suspect forced entry into Garfield Liquors located at 3003 New Castle Avenue, New Castle. While inside the business, the suspect removed alcoholic beverages and then exited the business. At approximately 3:27 a.m., the suspect returned to the business, and entered a secured area behind the counter, and removed additional merchandise. Through investigative leads, Dorian H. Frisby-Jones was identified as the suspect. On August 28, 2021, at approximately 4:42 p.m., troopers responded to the business because Dorian was there to make a purchase. He was taken into custody without incident outside of the business in the Super Lodge Motel parking lot located at 1213 West Avenue. Dorian was transported to Delaware State Police Troop 2 and charged with the following crimes:

  • Burglary 3rd Degree (Felony)
  • Theft Under $1,500
  • Criminal Mischief

He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #11 and released on a $4,500.00 unsecured bond.
