Detectives Arrest Man for Country Club Armed Robbery

The Delaware State Police arrested 40-year-old Jason Knight of Camden, Delaware for a robbery that occurred in Wyoming on July 21, 2023.
On July 21, 2023, at approximately 11:03 a.m., troopers responded to Wild Quail Golf and Country Club located at 1 Clubhouse Drive, Wyoming, for a report of an armed robbery. Detectives discovered an unknown man demanded cash from an 18-year-old employee of the club while pointing a firearm at her. The suspect blocked the victim’s attempts to escape and pushed her against a fridge. The suspect stole the victim’s property after he was unable to find any money and fled on foot.
Through investigative means, Troop 3 Robbery Detectives identified the suspect as Jason Knight and obtained warrants for his arrest. On July 25, 2023, Knight was arrested on a traffic stop and taken to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following crimes:
- Robbery First Degree (Felony)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)
- Kidnapping Second Degree (Felony)
- Offensive Touching
Knight was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $55,500 cash bond.
