A Middletown man has been sentenced to 90 years in prison in connection with a June 2016 armed robbery of a Dover gas station.

On Friday, April 13, the Delaware Attorney’ General’s office announced that 31-year-old Jamar Waters received the sentence after being convicted by Delaware Superior Court jury for two counts of first degree robbery, and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. In a concurrent trial, he was also convicted of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.

The convictions come after a June 2016 incident where Waters was accused of pointing a pistol at two employees of a gas station in the 400 block of North DuPont Highway in Dover and then demanding money.
